Hello! I'm back from welcoming a new baby into the family. He's adorable (of course!) and must take after his grandma! :*)
Anyhoo... I'm ready to accept orders, I'm getting orders ready for retailers and working a new soap for babies and folks with sensitive skin.

I will be visiting my daughter and unable to fill orders from September 10 through November 4, 2017. If you need something soon, please order by Friday, September 8, 2017. Otherwise, I can begin filling orders again on November 5, 2017.
Yesterday, I mailed five large boxes of soap to Texas for people affected by Hurricane Harvey. I hope they will have a little less to worry about with a bar of good soap to use.
The picture is of new soaps delivered to Talkeetna Gifts and Collectibles about a week and a half ago. They were all plain (no colors!), just scented and fabric wrapped. All 44 bars are sold! We weren't expecting that! When I get back, I will have plain soap in fabric wrap available. I'll post pictures then.
Hope all is good in your part of the world.

I just took a little meander around my yard and gardens, picking plantain. This will be used for salves and creams. Right now, it's drying on the back deck before I infuse it into olive oil.
Plantain is an amazing plant. It grows in the most unlikely places. Gravel, walkways, parched spots? Check! Give it a little love and space and water, and it loves you back with lush huge leaves.
Here's a a leaf from a plant in the high tunnel and a leaf grown outside with no care from me. (I moved an outside plant into the high tunnel earlier this summer.) They both have the same qualities, but the plants are loving the easy living with plenty of space and water.
It happily soothes abused skin along with its friends calendula, lavender, comfrey and St John's Wort, just to mention a few. Plantain is also very helpful for soothing bug bites and itchy skin. I keep a jar of the salve in my car and next to my chair. It's that good!

I've heard you either love or hate Patchouli and I do get requests for a Patchouli soap. I was a bit indifferent until I found the most amazing and complex Patchouli. It's rich with almost smoky nuances and depth of fragrance. I LOVE it! And, since it's so delicious, I'm creating on a soap that will remind you of Talkeetna (old hippie town that it is.) If you're in a hurry to see the final soap, scroll on down to the bottom.
Trial number one is colorful and smells amazing. Still, not exactly what I'm looking for. A bar of this batch will be included with every order of $50 or more till it's gone. I think I have ten bars.
Batch number two. I like this one, but I went a little crazy on the colors. Pretty nice, but not quite there yet.
Talkeetna loves its tie dye! Here is batch three, as in third time's a charm. This is it! These are curing and some will be delivered to Talkeetna Gifts and Collectibles in Talkeetna, Alaska in the next week or two.
So, what do you think?
